TextQL builds autonomous AI data analyst agents for the enterprise. We deploy AI agents that handle messy, complex data workloads at scale — replacing weeks of analyst work with minutes of agent execution. The Role

You'll be one of our first Account Executives, working alongside our founding sales team to build the enterprise sales motion from the ground up. You'll own a territory, close deals, and help define how we sell to the largest organizations in the world.

This is not a typical AE role. You won't be executing someone else's playbook — you'll be writing it. We have product-market fit, a strong partner ecosystem, and real revenue. What we need is someone who can take that foundation and turn it into a repeatable, scalable enterprise sales engine. You'll work directly with our CRO and founding sales team to close six and seven-figure deals with Fortune 500 companies. You'll sell to data leaders, analytics teams, and C-suite executives who are drowning in data but starving for insights. If you need a fully built-out sales org with established processes and a 50-person SDR team feeding you leads — this isn't for you. What You'll Do

  • Own Your Territory: Manage a named account list of enterprise prospects and customers. Build territory plans, identify key accounts, and execute a strategy to win them. You own the number.
  • Run Full-Cycle Enterprise Sales: Manage the entire sales process from prospecting to close. Qualify leads, run discovery, deliver demos (with Solutions Engineering support), navigate procurement, negotiate contracts, and close deals. No hand-offs — you own it end-to-end.
  • Sell Consultatively: Understand your customers' business problems deeply. Map their data landscape, identify pain points, and position TextQL as the solution. You're not selling features — you're solving problems worth millions of dollars.
  • Build Multi-Threaded Relationships: Engage with data leaders, analytics teams, IT, procurement, and C-suite executives. Build champions, navigate complex org structures, and create consensus across stakeholders.
  • Partner with Solutions Engineering: Collaborate closely with our Solutions Engineers to run technical discovery, deliver compelling demos, and design proof-of-concept engagements that prove value and de-risk the deal.
  • Leverage the Partner Ecosystem: Work with our cloud partners (AWS, Snowflake, Databricks) and consulting partners (Deloitte, Slalom, boutique firms) to source deals, co-sell, and accelerate sales cycles.
  • Forecast Accurately: Maintain a clean pipeline in Attio. Provide accurate weekly forecasts. Understand your deal stages, close probabilities, and what it takes to hit your number.
  • Contribute to GTM Strategy: Provide feedback on messaging, pricing, competitive positioning, and product roadmap. Help shape how we sell as we scale. Your insights from the field will directly influence company strategy.
  • Close Deals: Negotiate contracts, navigate legal and procurement, and get signatures. You're measured on closed-won revenue — everything else is just activity.

What Success Looks Like

  • Within 90 days, you'll have ramped on the product, closed your first deal, and built a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities in your territory
  • Within 6 months, you'll be consistently hitting quota ($1M-$1.5M annually), running multi-threaded enterprise sales cycles, and contributing to our go-to-market strategy
  • Within a year, you'll have closed multiple six-figure deals, built deep relationships with key accounts, and helped establish the playbook that scales our sales team to 10+ AEs

About You

  • 3-5+ years of enterprise sales experience, ideally selling B2B SaaS, data tools, analytics platforms, or AI/ML products
  • Proven track record of consistently hitting or exceeding quota ($1M+ annually)
  • Experience running full-cycle enterprise sales — you've prospected, qualified, demoed, negotiated, and closed six-figure deals
  • You understand technical products and can hold your own in conversations with data engineers, analysts, and technical buyers
  • Strong discovery and qualification skills. You ask great questions, listen deeply, and uncover the real business problems
  • Comfortable with consultative, value-based selling. You sell outcomes, not features
  • Experience navigating complex enterprise sales cycles with multiple stakeholders, long sales cycles, and procurement processes
  • You're a self-starter who thrives in ambiguity. You don't need a playbook handed to you — you build it
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills. You can command a room (virtual or in-person) and tell a compelling story
  • You are comfortable using AI to scale your impact and productivity

What This Role Is Not

An SDR role. You're an AE — you own the full sales cycle, including some prospecting. A comfortable seat on a 50-person sales team. You'll be one of the first AEs, building the function from scratch. A transactional sales role. You're selling complex, high-value deals to enterprises with 6-12 month sales cycles. A role with fully built-out processes. You'll help define the playbook, not just execute it.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience selling to healthcare or financial services enterprises
  • Familiarity with the data and analytics ecosystem (data warehouses, BI tools, semantic layers, data platforms)
  • Experience working with cloud partners (AWS, Snowflake, Databricks) or consulting partners in a co-sell motion
  • Background in early-stage startups or building sales teams from scratch
  • Experience selling AI or ML products to technical and business buyers
  • Existing relationships with data leaders at Fortune 500 companies

Our Commitment To You

  • Tradeoff: We're building the sales org in real-time. Processes will evolve, territories will shift, and you'll need to be comfortable with ambiguity. If you need a fully mature sales organization with established playbooks and predictable processes, this isn't the right fit. If you want to build something from the ground up and own your success, we should talk.
  • Why This Matters: TextQL is at an inflection point. We have product-market fit, a partner ecosystem most Series B companies would envy, and a GTM motion producing real revenue. What we don't have is a scaled enterprise sales team. You'd be one of the first AEs to join — not executing someone else's playbook, but writing it. When TextQL is 10x the size it is today, you'll be the one who built the foundation. And you'll have the comp, equity, and career trajectory to show for it.

Compensation & Logistics

  • Total Compensation: $200K-300K OTE ($100K-150K base + $100K-150K variable) + $40K-80K equity
  • Quota: $1M-$1.5M annually (ramped)
  • Commission Structure: Uncapped commission on all closed business, accelerators for overachievement
  • Location: New York City, in-office
