TextQL builds autonomous AI data analyst agents for the enterprise. We deploy AI agents that handle messy, complex data workloads at scale — replacing weeks of analyst work with minutes of agent execution. We work with some of the largest organizations in healthcare and financial services. We're a small team with big ambitions. Everyone here has real ownership and real impact. No politics, no busywork — just hard problems and the people who want to solve them.
The Role
You'll be our first dedicated demand generation hire. You'll report to our Head of Marketing & Partnerships and own the execution of pipeline-generating marketing across every channel.
Today, our marketing is driven by a strong partner ecosystem and an aggressive events program. That foundation is producing real pipeline — but we're leaving significant revenue on the table by not building the channels that should sit on top of it. Email, LinkedIn, ads, webinars, landing pages — none of these exist yet in any systematic way. You're the person who builds them. This is not a strategy role. We have the strategy. We need someone who ships. If you need a 15-person team, a six-month planning cycle, and a brand guidelines document before you can send an email — this isn't for you. If you can stand up a nurture sequence on Monday, launch a LinkedIn campaign on Wednesday, and have attribution data to show for it by Friday — keep reading.
What You'll Do
- Email & Nurture: Build and operate our entire email program from scratch. Prospecting sequences, event follow-up, nurture tracks, product updates, lifecycle campaigns. Segment and manage our contact database. Design the workflows that move leads from awareness to demo request.
- LinkedIn & Social: Own TextQL's presence on LinkedIn beyond founder posts. Build a programmatic content and distribution engine. Develop and manage paid campaigns targeting healthcare and financial services decision-makers. Run experiments, measure what works, kill what doesn't.
- Ads: Stand up and manage paid acquisition across relevant channels. Build targeting strategies for enterprise buyers in our core verticals. Own budget allocation, creative testing, and performance reporting.
- Landing Pages & Conversion: Build and optimize landing pages for campaigns, events, and partner co-marketing. Own conversion rate optimization — A/B testing, form strategy, lead scoring, CTA placement. Make sure sales gets the right leads at the right time.
- Webinars & Content Distribution: Launch a webinar program, likely co-branded with partners and customers. Repurpose event content, customer stories, and thought leadership into multi-channel campaigns. Build the distribution machine that gets our content in front of the right people.
- Conferences & Events Support: Partner with the Head of Marketing & Partnerships on our events program. Own the pre-event and post-event marketing motions — email outreach, landing pages, lead capture, follow-up sequences. Help maximize pipeline from every event we attend.
- Partner Co-Marketing: Execute co-marketing campaigns with our cloud and consulting partners. Build landing pages, email campaigns, and content for joint initiatives. Coordinate logistics and deliverables across partner marketing teams.
- Marketing Ops & Attribution: Own the marketing tech stack — CRM, email platform, analytics, automation. Build attribution reporting so we actually know what's working. Create dashboards that tie marketing activity to pipeline.
What Success Looks Like
- Within 90 days, you'll have built and launched our core nurture sequences, stood up paid campaigns on at least two channels, and established baseline conversion metrics across the funnel
- Within 6 months, you'll have a repeatable demand gen engine generating measurable pipeline — we'll know cost per lead, conversion rates by channel, and which programs are worth scaling
- Within a year, demand gen will be a meaningful and growing share of total pipeline, with clear attribution data that ties every dollar spent to revenue generated
About You
- 3–5 years in B2B SaaS demand generation or growth marketing, ideally selling to enterprise buyers
- You've been early on a marketing team before — the first hire, or on a team of three or fewer where you did everything yourself
- Hands-on with CRM (Attio or similar), email marketing platforms, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, and basic landing page/ad tools
- You understand lead scoring, MQL/SQL definitions, and pipeline attribution — not conceptually, but because you've built these systems yourself
- Comfortable with data. You can pull a report, build a segment, analyze campaign performance, and make decisions from numbers
- Strong copywriting instincts. Your emails get opened and your CTAs get clicked
- You ship fast and iterate. Perfection is the enemy of pipeline
- You are comfortable using AI to scale your impact across the business.
What This Role Is Not
A strategy job. You'll have input, but the strategic direction is set. You're here to execute and optimize. A manager-of-agencies job. You do the work. You don't manage vendors who do the work. A brand or content strategy role. We need demand gen execution, not thought leadership curation. A comfortable seat on a big team. You'll be building the function, not joining one.
Nice To Haves
- Experience marketing to healthcare or financial services buyers
- Familiarity with the data, analytics, or AI ecosystem
- Experience with partner co-marketing or channel marketing, especially alongside cloud provider GTM motions
Our Commitment To You
- Tradeoff: We choose speed over polish. You'll ship things that aren't perfect because we'd rather learn from real data than wait for a perfect plan. If that sounds stressful, this isn't the right fit. If that sounds exciting, we should talk.
- Why This Matters: TextQL is at an inflection point. We have product-market fit, a partner ecosystem most Series B companies would envy, and a GTM motion producing real revenue. What we don't have is a marketing engine that captures the full opportunity. You'd be the person who builds it. Not buried in a 50-person marketing org optimizing one metric — building the demand generation function from zero. When TextQL is 5x the size it is today, you'll be the one who built the foundation.
Compensation & Logistics
- Total Compensation: $195K-225K ($130K-150K base + quarterly bonus + $65K-75K equity)
- Location: New York City, in-office
- Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k); standard startup package
