TextQL builds autonomous AI data analyst agents for the enterprise. We deploy AI agents that handle messy, complex data workloads at scale — replacing weeks of analyst work with minutes of agent execution. We work with some of the largest organizations in healthcare and financial services. We're a small team with big ambitions. Everyone here has real ownership and real impact. No politics, no busywork — just hard problems and the people who want to solve them.
The Role
You'll be our first dedicated events hire. You'll report to our Head of Marketing & Partnerships and own the execution of our entire events program — from tier-1 conferences to intimate customer dinners.
Today, our events strategy is producing real pipeline. We're showing up at the right conferences, running the right meetings, and converting attendees into qualified opportunities. But we're doing it with duct tape and spreadsheets. You're the person who turns that into a repeatable, scalable system. This is not a logistics coordination role. We need someone who can own the full event lifecycle — strategy, execution, follow-up, and attribution. If you need a 10-person team and a six-month lead time to execute a booth at a conference — this isn't for you. If you can scope an event on Monday, lock down logistics by Wednesday, and have post-event nurture running by the following Monday — keep reading.
What You'll Do
- Conference Strategy & Execution: Own our presence at 15-20 tier-1 conferences per year (AWS re:Invent, Snowflake Summit, HIMSS, healthcare and financial services industry events). Manage booth design, staffing, pre-event outreach, on-site execution, and post-event follow-up. Maximize pipeline from every event we attend.
- Executive & Customer Events: Plan and execute intimate, high-touch events — customer dinners, roundtables, executive briefings, and VIP experiences at major conferences. Coordinate with sales and partnerships to identify attendees, manage invitations, and ensure flawless execution.
- Partner Co-Marketing Events: Collaborate with cloud and consulting partners on co-hosted events — webinars, workshops, and in-person sessions. Manage joint event logistics, co-marketing materials, and lead sharing agreements.
- Event Operations & Logistics: Manage vendor relationships, negotiate contracts, coordinate travel and accommodations for the team, and handle all the operational details that make events run smoothly. Own the budget and ensure we're spending efficiently.
- Lead Capture & Follow-Up: Build systems for capturing leads at events and routing them to sales. Design and execute post-event nurture sequences. Track conversion rates and optimize the event-to-pipeline motion.
- Content & Collateral: Work with marketing to develop event-specific content — booth graphics, one-pagers, demo scripts, swag, and presentation decks. Ensure our brand shows up consistently and professionally at every event.
- Webinars & Virtual Events: Launch and manage a webinar program, likely co-branded with partners and customers. Own the full production — topic selection, speaker coordination, promotion, execution, and follow-up.
- Event Attribution & Reporting: Build dashboards that tie event activity to pipeline. Track ROI for every conference, dinner, and webinar. Make data-driven recommendations on where to invest and where to cut.
What Success Looks Like
- Within 90 days, you'll own the full event calendar and have established repeatable playbooks for pre-event outreach, booth execution, and post-event follow-up
- Within 6 months, you'll have built measurable attribution from events to pipeline — we'll know exactly which events drive revenue and which don't
- Within a year, you'll have a scalable events engine that's a core pillar of our demand gen strategy, with clear ROI data to justify (or kill) every conference investment
About You
- 3–5 years in B2B events marketing, ideally at a SaaS or enterprise software company
- You've managed tier-1 conference programs before — booth strategy, staffing, logistics, and post-event follow-up
- Experience planning executive and customer events — dinners, roundtables, and VIP experiences
- Comfortable with the operational side — vendor management, budget tracking, contract negotiation, and logistics coordination
- Strong project management skills. You can juggle 10 events at once without dropping the ball
- Hands-on with CRM (Attio or similar) and marketing automation tools. You understand lead capture, scoring, and attribution
- You ship fast and iterate. Perfection is the enemy of pipeline
- You are comfortable using AI to scale your impact across the business.
What This Role Is Not
A logistics coordination job. You're not just booking venues and ordering swag — you're driving pipeline. A brand activation role. We care about leads and revenue, not impressions and engagement. A comfortable seat on a big team. You'll be building the function, not joining one.
Nice To Haves
- Experience marketing to healthcare or financial services buyers
- Familiarity with the data, analytics, or AI ecosystem
- Experience with partner co-marketing events, especially alongside cloud provider GTM motions
- Background in demand generation or growth marketing
Our Commitment To You
- Tradeoff: We choose speed over polish. You'll ship events that aren't perfect because we'd rather learn from real data than wait for a perfect plan. If that sounds stressful, this isn't the right fit. If that sounds exciting, we should talk.
- Why This Matters: TextQL is at an inflection point. We have product-market fit, a partner ecosystem most Series B companies would envy, and a GTM motion producing real revenue. What we don't have is a scalable events engine that captures the full opportunity. You'd be the person who builds it. Not buried in a 50-person marketing org optimizing one metric — building the events function from zero. When TextQL is 5x the size it is today, you'll be the one who built the foundation.
Compensation & Logistics
- Total Compensation: $180K-210K ($120K-140K base + $60K-70K equity)
- Location: New York City, in-office
- Benefits: Health, dental, and vision insurance; 401(k); standard startup package
